happy birthday 3 ( and other stuff) May 5, 2008

Friday after work we hurredly went to bowling as it was booked for 7pm.  we took the twins and Jakes friend - who is on the junior lawn bowls england championship team or some such, anyway he was damned good.  Needless to say that i was pants.

 

we had burgers and chips all round - it was fun.

we packed the kids off on a train home and dh and i went to a nearby pub in town.  We like our sticky carpet places - but the last time we went in this partic pub it was rough as fuck - but it  was either

a)rough as fuck

b) join in with the young ‘uns in small pink dresses

c) try to ponce it up and go to a wine bar

 

so we opted for A

it was great , the place had been took over by new management, there was a bouncer on the door and the best bit ……pool was only 10p - thats 10 whole new pence.  i shit - you - not.

got merry but not wankered - felt rough the next day and we got up late.

 

Saturday dh and i then walked to a Toby carvery we have in the town near by - about a 25 min walk and had a lovely carvery  - yun diddly um - £5 shit - you - not £5 each. we then walked the long way home and talked a lot

Saturday evening we stopped in  and had a curry for supper around 11.30 - but we were so full we didn’t eat a right lot of it.

 

Sunday DH sorted out his bank charges ( we are going to reclaim them) using www.moneysavingexpert.com  and the ready made calculating and forms they have there - i used this when i claimed mine back last year.

 

This is great becuase if we are going to get a mortgage to bridge us until mums house is sold we could do with this money to help us move.

Dh then helped me to ‘pink my ride’ new seat covers and mats from e-nbay - well new to me.  i bought some glue and some beads off ebay and tried to do something a bit fancy with my dash board but the fucking things won’t stick - so i am going to buy nail glue.

 

NOW hear this.  forget all your superglue shit.  Nail glue is the dogs bollocks.  within two seconds when puttin of falsies it can stick your pingers together and remove the skin - its fab! we then mowed the lawn front and back - which really needed doing - i mean even the @secret short term council let that they put emergency families into across the road - yes even their lawn looked better than ours. clampits doesn’t even cover it.

 

then dh and i wen to local pub last night.  that was shit man - i couldnt win a game of pool if my life depended on it - usually i can say i lost at pool but i know that i played good games and thats ok for me - but i didn’t play a good game - i couldnt pot for shit.  so losing every single game all fecking night didn’t put me in the best mood.  then dh bought me a southern comfort and coke - why’>? i never drink that shit - so we came home.

Today we again walked to the carvery  cos it was that good.  then we watched ‘ southland Tales’  the review looks great by the same person as who did Donnie Darko - i was so looking forward to a thought provoking film.

boy was i dissapointed - what a load of crap.  I begged dh not to put the second half on - i couldnt bare wasting another hour of my life but he had to know how it ended.  I mean this film was full to the brim with stars.  and it was shit. don’t bother folks thats all i can say.

 

its my wedding anniversary tomorrow - i got DH a card when i went to the shopearlier to buy cereal and get change for dinners.  i asked the assistant to  borrow her pen and it was only as i was writing it out i noticed the inside said happy birthday.  so i crossed birthday out and put aniversary.  I was borrowing DH’s car so i left it in front of the steering wheel.

 

 

oh i forgot to tell you - he bought me another pressie on Friday - it was a better MP3 - the one i got of ebay is a 128 mb and holds like 10 songs and he bought me a better one - whcih was great becuase after listening to the same songs over again on Friday at work it was just what i wanted. - he bought a cute bag to put it in as well - which was trez thoughtful.

 

so all in all a great bank holiday birthday weekend. it really was super fab.  i got loads of cards. and Rhubarb who is the BEST friend ever sent me ANOther birthday card becuase hers came early - and i can’t hold my own piss and opened it - so how thoughtful was it of her to send me another one toopen on my birthday.  Suzy sent me a card which was really funny and called herself a ’spare shed’ family joke i’ll explain another time - and i was well chuffed she did becuase she isn’t a card person but it really meant a lot. a card from dh , ez, jake, joe and a seperate one from his girlfriend, one from my uncle and aunt whih was so unexpected and one from my nan - i was chuffed as chuffed can be.  i have a helium ballon, badges and pink drum sticks and drum lessons - wow i am so lucky this year has been the best birthday ever.  and has shown me how thoughtful the people who mean the most to me really are.

 

was my MIls birthday today. she phoned up and thanked us for her pressie - i trawled ebay and found her some of those stick in pot butterfly and bee things there was a job lot and i got them sent straight to her and then i moonpigged a card.  she was well huffed apparently (dh spoke to her) and i am glad - becuase its one of those things she would either love or think ” what the buggery?” but it hink she has some kind of unsaid rivalry with her neighbour.  they sit in the front garden in summer and chat all day across the fence and they both have these stick in pot thingies. so i thought it would make her the  ’stick in pot thingy’ champ.

 

Ez has a new resolve.  to work harder at school.  I don’t know if i told you but we came to the agreement since the ‘downward spiral’ conversation with ther RE teacher/form tutor last week , that she stay in the house MON, WED, FRI.  weekends bank holidays and holidays are hers unless she fucks up at school.  however if she takes an afterschool class ( about an hour) then she can offset her days at home - so if she takes a class on a tues - her going out day  - then she can take wed - her stying in day and go out after her after school class and wed as well - are you still with me?

So she is going to a computer club tomorrow and RE GCSE revision ( as there is an exam worth 50% later in May) which effectively means that she has all week out - see what i mean?
